3/6 : Al Scorch | Casey Campbell

$10.00

Al Scorch is a Chicago singer-songwriter, banjo player, and storyteller whose music collides old-time string band, punk, folk, and soulful balladry into something unmistakably his own — part revival tent preacher, part DIY road warrior. With a booming voice and blistering clawhammer banjo technique, he brings heartfelt, poetically political songs to stages across the country, and has released records on Chicago's beloved roots label Bloodshot Records. NPR's All Songs Considered once called him "a composite sketch of all my favorite Midwestern drinking buddies" — which is about as perfect a description as you're going to get..

Casey Campbell — known as "The Deacon" — is a drummer, vocalist, and co-founding member of the Cincinnati-based Americana outfit Buffalo Wabs & The Price Hill Hustle, a group celebrated for blending gospel, country blues, folk, and traditional American music into something entirely their own. An Alabama native with a deep gospel-vocal sensibility, Campbell has helped build the Hustle into a beloved regional act, sharing stages with Tyler Childers, Steep Canyon Rangers, and Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band, and even landing recurring roles in Tyler Childers' music videos. Tonight he brings that same soulful storytelling to the stage solo — music that, in his own words, "accompanies the story" and connects us all.
